2nd Celiac Disease Screening Program

The Colorado Center for Celiac Disease is hosting it's second annual celiac disease screening symposium.

The event will be an in depth exploration of current practices and future directions in celiac disease screening. The symposium will be held primarily virtually, allowing a broad audience to participate from anywhere in the world. However, there is also limited space for medical professionals to attend in person for valuable networking and discussion opportunities.

This symposium will review current data from ongoing mass screening studies globally, discuss potential benefits, harms and knowledge gaps of mass screening and develop research priorities and a policy roadmap to advance celiac disease screening worldwide.

November 12th - Day 1 Highlights:

  • Session 1: Classifcation Conundrum - What to Compare For Screening Outcomes?
  • Session 2: When screening raises questions - ethics, emotions & economics
  • Session 3: Patient & Provider Perspective & Public Opinion
  • Session 4: Laying the Groundwork - What Kind of Studies Are Needed to Advance the Field?

November 13th Day 2 Highlights:

  • Session 5: Global Perspectives
  • Session 6: Proposal to Policy

The event will begin at 8am local time (Colorado).
