New translational research centre

Researchers in Oslo, Norway have been granted funding from the KJ Jebsen Foundation for a translational research centre for celiac disease. The K.G. Jebsen Celiac Disease Research Centre will open on 15 August, 2016 and has funding for an initial four years with a possibility for extension. The Principle Investigators at the centre are Ludvig Sollid, Knut Lundin, Shuo-Wang Qiao, Geir Kjetil Sandve and Cisca Wijmenga. The centre will have a Patient Advisory Council of which the Secretary General of the Norwegian Coeliac Society, Knut Peterson and the Research Manager of Coeliac UK, Heidi Urwin have been invited to be members. A formal opening ceremony is due to take place on 18 August, 2016.
